Wow. It’s getting pretty interesting out there.
Will the future of our industry belong to technology? Big ideas? Branded content? Multi-platform storytelling? Software design?
The reality is, no one knows exactly what the future of our business will look like. We only know it will be discovered and shaped by the best people working in these widely disparate disciplines today—but working together.
That’s what we want the ANDY Jury in 2010 to represent: a coming together of the best of the best from around the world in storytelling, big ideas, creative technology and experience design.
So in the spirit of change, we’ve decided to select a jury in a completely new way—by asking the industry to decide. By creating the first globally crowd-sourced group of judges, we hope to assemble the first awards show jury that truly represents where we are headed as an industry.
For this to work, we need you and everyone you know to participate. To nominate others who we may have missed. And to vote for a 2010 ANDY Jury you can truly believe in. Hopefully a jury that extends beyond the usual suspects and embraces some of the pioneers of emerging disciplines, as well as some stars from industries we must all learn to collaborate with.
We’re serious about this. We hope you take it equally so. Please engage, nominate, vote, participate, and help us spread the word.

Here’s what’s going on.
We want the crème de le crème of creative innovators and thought leaders from around the world to join us in an experiment. An earnest attempt to use crowd sourcing to democratically decide our jury of 25 for this year’s ANDYs.
On October 1st, we start with over 100 nominees for you—the global creative industry and the at-large public—to vote on until November 15. We’ll add some others along the way, per nominations from folks like you, up until October 20th. If you want to add someone, sooner is definitely better. And to make sure every nominee reflects our mission, Ty and Michael will examine each submission before it is posted for voting on this site.
Of course we want to keep things on the level. So just one nominee per agency or company will be allowed to participate in the final jury. That means your quote/unquote great idea of a single-agency jury will have to remain a dream. At least for this awards show.
Finally, on December 1, 2009 the Jury of the 2010 ANDY Awards will be revealed.
So get voting. Get representing. And keep tabs on our news and twitter feeds. You can come back every 24 hours to vote, so please get as many people involved in your campaign as you can.
