BLOG: Only 3 days left to bid on art for a good cause

The good news is, there are just 3 days left to bid on artwork from Shepard Fairey, Gary Baseman, FriendsWithYou, TrustoCorp, Stan Chow, Sir Peter Blake and many more. That means you’ll have new art hanging in your pad in no time at all.

And the other good news is, that it’s all for a good cause. The proceeds from the auction will benefit Make It Right’s continued rebuilding efforts of New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. That means you’ll get a warm and fuzzy feeling every time you look at your new art hanging in said pad.

Open a new tab and get over to the Make It Right auction on eBay to bid now.

BLOG: Partnering up with Brad Pitt’s Make It Right and Microsoft Bing

In another ad show first, the ANDYs is happy to announce inspiring new partnerships with Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation and Microsoft Bing. At this year’s ANDYs judging week in New Orleans on Feb. 22-26, Bing will sponsor our art auction event featuring donated works from several prominent art world stars represented by Bernstein & Andriulli, and the proceeds will go to Make It Right for their rebuilding efforts in NOLA’s Lower 9th Ward devastated by Hurricane Katrina. These dynamic partnerships again prove that the ANDYs is ahead of the curve when it comes to reaching across disciplines to push the boundaries of creativity.

BLOG: The Final 25

It’s here. The big day announcing the final 25 jurors for The ANDYs in New Orleans Feb. 21-27. Thinking back, we'll miss the caffeine-fuelled late nights exploring the great work from around the world. It was a blast to see this project generate such positive engagement and important discussion. And we're damn proud of this group. We think they'll bring new vision to the judging, inspired by the process of being a part of the first-ever crowdsourced jury. It's your jury, so thanks for nominating, voting and representing, and with your help we can keep the conversation going.

BLOG: Thank you for a great campaign

Voting has come to a close, and a tremendous thanks to all of you who participated and helped decide the industry’s first-ever crowdsourced award show jury. The number of you who engaged the process, sending us boundary-pushing nominees and voting for your creative heroes, was everything we hoped for. And because of you, we believe an exciting new conversation and debate is underway about the future of creativity and ideas.

And please remember to stay tuned for the announcement of the final jury this Friday, November 20!

BLOG: Jon Favreau withdraws from consideration

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Jon Favreau’s reprise of Barack Obama’s "Yes, we can" 2004 senate campaign slogan informed the country that much needed change was on its way. It also sums up the spirit of change and new way of thinking that inspired Elect The Jury. We were looking forward to Jon’s participation, but because he’s busier than ever writing speeches for President Obama and will be on a book tour that conflicts with ANDY's judging, he'll be unable to take part. His ideas seek to engage the world – a mission we share – and we wish Jon the best of luck.

BLOG: With regret, Marc Jacobs withdraws

We’re thrilled about Marc Jacobs' enthusiasm for taking part in Elect The Jury. Marc is a boundary-pushing talent and one of our top vote getters who was well on his way to securing a spot on the final jury. But unfortunately, Marc must withdraw from the campaign due to scheduling conflicts. And since he was personally looking forward to participating and being involved in the judging, he declined sending a replacement. We appreciate Marc's candor and will always be a fan.

Remember voting ends this Sunday, November 15, so keep supporting your creative heroes!

BLOG: Five questions for Shirky and Carrasco

Rebecca Carrasco, ECD/Partner at Colman/Rasic/Carrasco in Sydney, mixes her talents well. At CRC she's done award-winning ad campaigns as well as videos for Radiohead and The Killers. Her answer to Question #2 about technology and ideas is pretty old school for a young gun! Clay Shirky is a fun and engaging speaker who writes extensively about how social networks enable humans to collaborate and organize in marvelous ways, and believes "the Internet runs on love" – we think it does too, and encourage you to show some love for your favorite nominees and vote for them today!

BLOG: Ben Malbon of BBH Labs sparks ETJ debate

The first line in our mission statement says, "Wow. It’s getting pretty interesting out there." And after reading nominee Ben Malbon's great post last Friday and the comments that followed, it was pretty clear that the nominating process received its first healthy airing out, so to speak. One thing's for sure: as the industry changes, the way it identifies its leaders must change as well, and we think the ETJ experiment will turn out to be an important milestone on the road to figuring out how to do it best.
